Hi all!
I'm pretty new to Fusion 360. I confused in axis directions. Looks like they work differently or I missed something.
Default modeling orientation: Z up. I assume that positive direction shown by color line (red, green, blue).
I wrote a script which draw a wing airfoil from DAT file on selected construction plane or origin.
Airfoil chord is along X axis from leading edge at zero and trailing edge at defined length.
Airfoil thickness along Y axis. Top surface up (positive) and bottom surface down (negative).
When I change planes (or TOP, FRONT, RIGHT views) I would expect the same picture with the same airfoil.
In fact I have all of them different. Below three screenshots from different views.
XY plane (TOP) looks like I expected.
XZ plane (FRONT) - up and down swapped.
YZ plane (RIGHT) - rotated clockwise on 90 degrees
How I can change this behavior?
Thanks!
Sergey
