unable to install script

I have been trying to install the image2 surface script for the last week. I have searched the web with no avail. I was able to get the add ins to

to see it but it would not run. Now when I try to load it thru the add ins it says unable to find or see a script. The files are there when using

windows explorer you can see them in the folder. Any help would be much appreciated.

No.  I just followed normal steps by downloading and installing through F360.  I managed to get it installed.  It would only show up on the list as an add-in, not a script, but it still worked as an add-in.

I did find an issue with the actual script, but not sure if it's only on my machine.  I can select a photo through the script and bring it into f360, but once I have imported one photo, I cannot clear the photo and select another photo without restarting f360.  If I try and change photos, I can choose a file, and when I go to click on "generate image", I get a long error, but if I shut down f360 and restart it, I can bring in that photo without a problem

Hi John -

Sorry to hear you are having issues with the add-in.  Note, image2surface was previously a script but is now an add-in.  That might have caused some confusion with directions posted earlier.

I haven't heard of the issue you mention below.  Would it be possible for you to post the error message?  That would help in tracking down the issue you are running into.  I'll also do some tests to see if I can spot the problem.  Are you running on Mac or Windows?

Thanks,

Hans

I wish I had taken a screenshot when the error was showing because I just tried to recreate the issue and now it's working fine.  No more error.  I am on windows 10.

Thank you for the reply though.  Looks like I'm all good now.

Thanks John

Would you mind providing some more information.  What platform are you running (Mac/Windows), are you trying to install the Image2Surface Add-In, and what is occurring when you try to install?

Have you followed the installation instructions for Fusion 360 add-ins located here:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...

Thanks.

Hello,

I am running Fusion on a Windows, trying to install the Image2Surface
script (now add in) to use for 2d image to 3d surface...

I have been following the tutorial that you posted on the Fusion 360
website, but it is called a script here and not an add-in. I know that it
has been switched to an add-in but I don't understand how to implement it.
I cannot get it to Run after pushing the green Run button.
