Pipe Bending Function

I was wondering if there is an add on for straightening bent pipes to get cut length? Software add on kind of like bend-tech that works similar to the sheet metal function on Fusion 360? If so, where do I need to make this suggestion to fusion?

I'm not aware of any existing apps to do this, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. It would be an interesting project to work on. I did some research but couldn't find an answer about if when bending tubes there's a similar concept like a k-factor when bending sheet metal. Do you know?

I did the calculations using the centerline of the bends length, and it's bloody close to what the cut length is. I think doing a couple test pieces, you could figure out what percent to subtract to per bend for a particular size.

Hi Mr Enthusiast, Others,

There are quite a few methods of bending pipes; multiply them by different material characteristics, and you end up with a picture that would be hard to synthesize into some sort of formula. 

Moreover, there is a common practice of selecting longer pipe blanks, allowing for a particular bend technology characteristic and the final off-cuts. 

As pointed out by kellymcdonald_098, basic experimentation would certainly help.
