How to get rid of an "Add-in"?

I have an old add-in.
I simply want to get rid of it.   But HOW?
I cannot find anywhere in the menus or preferences where I can delete it.

The error message doesn't give much help.
And the not-so-helpful "Learn More" takes me to a link that say I have to update the add-in from "Autodesk App Store". And sure, going there, I can download a new version of the add-in.
But I don't want it! It is not useful for me.

How to delete it and get rid of that notification message?

@jesper8W75R @This help page can give the details you need to remove the add-in that you don’t want.

Thank you for your reply, Rajkumar.

But this opened a whole new can of worms.
So, to get to the place where I can work with my Add-Ins, I have to go to the (mechanics) design workspace?
It is not possible to get there from Preferences, or even from an Electronics design?
Isn't that awkward.

Also the section I have to go to, is called "Utilities", not "Tools", as the Help Documentation describes.

Now the fun starts.
Under "My Add-Ins", there is a bunch of stuff. Where the heck did THAT come from?
Screen Shot 2022-03-31 at 12.23.48.png
I only know that I have installed OpenBOM and SimLabPDFExporter.
The other I have no idea what is.

100KGarages, parts4cad, traceparts?????
It certainly is NOT anything that I have installed!

Anyway, I still have NO option to delete any of the Add-Ins.

@jesper8W75R  you could try one of the below steps:

  1. To just stop the add-in from loading: In the Add-ins tab select the add-in and click on the Stop button.
  2.  To stop the add-in from loading while starting the Fusion: Uncheck the check box "Run on Startup".
  3. To remove the add-in from the list: Uninstall the add-in from the control panel for Windows. For Mac - go to the add-in location and move it to the bin/trash. You can get the add-in full path by expanding the Details section of scripts and add-in dialog.

Regarding the other add-ins like 100KGarages, parts4cad, and traceparts, these are internal add-ins shipped with Fusion.

Deleting the OpenBOM bundle folder made it go away, yes.
Thank you.

But, do you seriously think this is a user friendly way to uninstall something??
It installs with a click, but to remove it you have to dive into the filesystem.
Really?
What about that stuff you have installed?
 100KGarages, parts4cad, traceparts and SnapEDA
WHY is it there? I will NEVER use any of that.
The less of your software junk to mess up my computer, the better.

That referenced web page does NOT discuss how to remove or delete an add-on.

Hi @davidpbest,

I hope this message finds you well. Uninstalling Add-ins has to be done in the same manner that you uninstall any other software. On Windows, you have to go into the Add/Remove Programs area of the control panel. The Add ins will show up there and you can uninstall them from there.

Agreed the docs should be clearer about this.

It certainly does not answer the question for Mac users (which I am).  There is no such facility in OSX.

@FrodoLoggins For the Mac the solution is called out earlier in the thread - https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-electronics/how-to-get-rid-of-an-quot-add-in-quot/m-p/1243...

The link you supplied that supposedly covers this aspect is self-referential or is a deal link - clicking on it brings me right back to your post.  Try again.

That post is specific to WINDOWS !!!!!!  The question not answered is how to do the same on an Apple Macintosh computer.

@davidpbest This is what was called out for the Mac which is what works today:

For Mac - go to the add-in location and move it to the bin/trash. You can get the add-in full path by expanding the Details section of scripts and add-in dialog.

The following illustrations of where to go and the sequence of clicks required might be more helpful to some of us who are not geeky computer nerds.

In the Finder > Go > Library

Set "Group By" in the window Header to "kind"

Scroll  down to the "Application Support" folder

Search for "Addin" in "Application Support"

There will be a number of folders listed, the relevent ones are "Addins" and "FusionAddins", each contains a folder for each addin. If you want to know what an addin does, read the README file in the folder.
