Get defaultModelingOrientation

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know of a way to get the default modeling orientation through the API ?

The only way I can see is using camera.viewOrientation but that changes the camera...

EDIT : After more search I realized that what I actually would need is a way to access the 'home' and 'front' view of the viewcube without having to update the camera. It would be nice if the viewcube was better integrated to the api (ability to automatically set the front view for exemple).

Thank you

This only gets the preference set for the user, not the actual orientation of the model sadly 😞

Exposing the view cube capability has been on the API to-do list for a long time.  The need for it doesn't come up very often but when you need it, there aren't other options.
