CustomGraphicsCurve Object

Hi TF360,

I have recently noticed that CustomGraphicsCurve Object has not got lineStylePattern and lineStyleScale properties implemented as in the case CustomGraphicsLines Object.

I am reasoning that the arbitrary patterning of curve3D is a little bit more algorithmically demanding. Still, I also remember seeing it done successfully on Columbia Shuttle drawings … quite a long time ago ... so the picture is a little bit foggy. Even in the current F360 environment, construction type 3D splines are rendered beautifully. So unsurprisingly, I don’t want to mention how powerful graphic hardware we have today and, of course, what would make such implementation reasonably straightforward, the sophisticated DirectX 12 (SDK).

 

So there is the question.

Are there any plans to fill these two desks in CustomGraphicsCurve Class?

Certainly, there shouldn't be any technical reason this isn't supported. I think it's something that just hasn't been gotten to yet. Hopefully, it will happen sometime in the future.

Hi Mr Brian Ekins,

 

I hope that it will not take too long, as attaching to the proper DirectX API call shouldn't be too difficult and time-consuming. Perhaps it would require even less destruction from other TF360 tasks if the CustomGraphicsCurve Class was fully assembled before the start of the lesson.
