Hello everyone!
I hope this is the right forum to ask for help with this.
I am currently writing a Script in the Fusion 360 API that creates a normal SpurGear for some project. So far, it spits out the exterior x and y coordinates of the Gear. I'm sure I could find a way to draw those on a sketch and extrude them into a Spurgear, or am I mistaken here already?
The part I need help with though is, that I would like that spur gear to be a helical gear. All the tutorials I've found, however, have just been tutorials for how to use the helical gear addon.
Would it be better/easier to do this in code (create the coordinates of this complex 3D shape somehow) or in Fusion? How would I do this via the Fusion API?
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated! 🙂
