API Integration with Manual Inspection

Is there a way to interface with the somewhat new "manual inspection" in the manufacturing workspace? I would like to be able to grab that information and pass it to my measuring device and report the result back.

Does an API question not belong on the API forum? The manufacturing thread does not talk about anything API related, mainly issues/usage of the cam tools, and post processors.
