This is probably because its not handled there when in Render. Its part of the 'Ground' settings under Scene Settings:

OK so there seems to be the object casting its shadow and the ground receiving it and only the second is working.
The more I work with Fusion 360 the more I get these little imperfections that some would call quality issues...
Please take them into account as otherwise trying new features becomes time taking (and making reports also is).

This is not correct. The ground plane and ground shadow are separate from object shadow. The reason you don't see them in render under the lower menu is because they are part of the scene. They show in design as toggles:
Ground plane and shadow and object shadow are not the same thing - and for a few good reasons:
The ground shadows will change in render and become part of the Ground Plane Scene settings. The shadow will move and as the light source and location changes. Again this provides depth and reference.
