using a mac
hi, obviously i am missing something, when in design i can select a fillet edge easily, when i am in manufacture > 2d adaptive clearing > geometry > pocket selections - it is almost impossible to select it (have jagged it a couple of times)
here is a simple design to show what i mean
any help appreciated

I'm not on a Mac but selecting a closed circular chain should be trivial on any platform. Is there anything else you expect from selecting the fillet as a particular feature?
Or you can select the bottom circle. For this particular operation it makes very little difference.
@ltomuta ,,,,,sorry, my mistake, i wasn't being clear - i meant the filleted edge - first picture was taken in design and it is what i am trying to do in adaptive clearing.
the second picture is taken in manufacture > 2d adaptive clearing > geometry > pocket selections, it is virtually impossible to select the filleted edge (edge is a bad word - is it called the face?)
thanks for taking the time to look into this, i am sure i am missing something very obvious and google search is no help on this particular issue 🙂
2d adaptive will only select edges(profiles) or flat surfaces.
What are you actually trying to do? A fillet on a body is a 3d feature so why are you trying to use a 2d operation? If you need to clear the stock before finishing use 3d adaptive or you might be able to just use Contour or Blend from the 3d menu.

For that kind of feature I would simply use 2D adaptive with the contour I selected in my 2nd picture to get rid of any extra stock and then a 2d contour with the selection from my first picture to rough and then finish the fillet with a matching radius mill.
As Mark says above selecting the face is not possible for 2D Adaptive. 3D Adaptive on the other hand may be an overkill.
thanks guys
mark as soon as you said "2D" , of coarse - its 3d with the curve, why didn't i see that.
ltomuta you are right, i think 3d adaptive is overkill, thanks for the tip on contour - i will look it up
what i was trying to do - CNC a fillet - that is why nothing was on the net about it, because i was looking for the wrong thing.
thanks again
