In the last few days, the open dialog, sorting by date actually sorts but, appears to sort by
number verses by date. I'd also recommend saving the last state of the open dialog and use
that state for subsequent visits.
Additionally, external thread files in XML format do not copy over to the new thread file directories.
Please correct this issue as it incredibly annoying not to mention a waste of time.

@gardenweazel could you please provide a screenshot of the broken sorting?
Which state(s) in particular would you like the dialog to persist?
@gardenweazel, I can reproduce this issue and have logged it. Just to confirm, are the out-of-order files actually folder directories? These will always show first before any files.
I have passed the thread issue to a CAM specialist to look into.
Hi Lance,
They are all files, not directories.
Thank you for your time.

Hello, any updates on this issue? It seems like an easy fix. It's extremely annoying to not be able to sort by date, because the numerical sorting makes projects from a year ago show up before items from last month. It was working fine a few months ago, can any changes to the sort by date function not simply be reversed? Thank you.
Hi @rdalyWSJSQ, a fix for this should be included with the next major update. In addition, it should be called out in a future What's New post, once available.
Thank you very much for the fast reply, and it's great to know the bug has been fixed. I await the next update!
So i can expect this particular bug to be fixed ?
From the description here i cannot figure out if that's what i have, mine is sorting fine but the files i worked on recently, appearing with a date of "Yesterday xxx" or "Today xxx" are always at the bottom when sorting by date. Should i make a separate post for this ?
Hi @daver18qc,
While the bug has been fixed, the release containing it has not yet been released.
There was an update for me today but the sorting bug is still there. Should i open my own thread for that ?
Files with dates "xx:xx:xx Today" and "xx.xx.xx Yesterday" are still listed as oldest files when sorting by date.
Probably because the sorting routine uses the text of that rather than the normalized date format associated with it i'd guess but i'm no expert programmer so i'll let you guys decide of that.
@daver18qc, not quite yet. More specifically, this should be in our October release near the end of the month, and you most likely experienced a smaller hotfix update just recently.
