I created a body using the polyline to create half of a cylinder with a number of features. I revolved it around the x centerline. This gave me a body that looks like the part I want. However I need to thread one end of one of the cylinder faces. When I select the part of the cylindrical part of the body I want to thread it deselects the cylinder and I cannot select a face to thread.
I don't know if it's an issue that I used the revolve command to create it or what. I do know I know how the thread command should work because I created a simple cylinder by extrude then selected thread, and it worked exactly as expected. So I am left to feel it has to do with how I created the body.
Any input would be appreciated.

most likely, you are correct. You have somehow not actually created a cylinder. Using Revolve, you need the centerline and the outer line to be parallel. If they are not quite parallel, then the result is a cone, and you cannot apply a Thread to a cone. If you share the design, it will be easy enough to tell.
I think that is correct. I found one end was 0.0005 bigger. Now to figure out how to adjust that line in the sketch before revolving.
Well I fixed the one problems and apparently created another. Some how I managed to delete something and now I get redefine reference plane errors, BUT everything I have watched, I can't seem to enable that function.

I seem to have fixed the reference plane issue by starting over, but now it's back to it still won't revolve. It looks like all the lines are connected together. but it seems a profile is not made.
You are missing several Horizontal and Vertical constraints.
You are missing many dimensions?
If you click and drag the top "horizontal" line - what do you observe?
After looking deeper - I recommend that you create ONLY one line at a time and repost here for comment BEFORE creating your next line.
Dimension and fully define each line as you go - you should have no blue lines or white dots...
