Fusion360 poor performance

Hi,

I'm trying to learn Fusion 360 ,since I already know Inventor, but I'm having really poor performance and bugs when using it.

It's not fluid and the data panel is not working at all.

My computer is new and has high performance parts

Here is the Dxdiag log :

I'm using 3 screens, not sure if it could impact F360's perfs.

3 monitors vs 1 monitor could potentially make a difference in performance. More pixels requires more resources. You could try testing with 1 monitor to see if there is any change in behavior.

From the text you pasted in from the dxdiag, I wasn't able to see the graphics driver version date. However, if you haven't done so, it may be a good idea to update the graphics driver from the manufacturer's website.

With regards to the data panel issue, can you upload a copy of your diagnostic log files? There is a command in the help menu that will automatically gather them.

There's some suggestions that you may want to try.

The log files will give me some further information to go on. I'm wondering if anti-virus software may be blocking the adcefwebbrowser.exe process. There are some tips here that may help.

I look forward to your reply and I hope this helps.

Thanks,

I agree more pixels requires more resources but I play very recent games without issues, regarding AD softwares, I use Inventor and Revit without issues too
I'll try to deactivate them anyway.

Drivers are up to date and I tried giving high priorities to Fusion 360 process, no difference

I'll look and try the suggestions you gave me

I join the *.zip of log files

Thank you for your help

Edit: I did this procedure : https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t... and noticed I don't have any NsCloudBrowserCache_autodesk****.dat

There's an error in the log files I haven't encountered before.

0171027T143140 E CloudBrowser: No visible Project. ThreadID: 18964, Function: void __cdecl Ns::CloudBrowser::GroupCollImpl::downloadData::<lambda_3a211c5be94d76c8ec4ac70ed1dcaae2>::operator ()(class std::shared_ptr<class Ns::Network::Request>) const, Line: 319

Based upon some of the syntax, I believe the log files are recording an issue with network connectivity.

Is it possible to test temporarily disabling anti-virus software as a diagnostic procedure?

One other test you may try:

1. Open up your hub's dashboard

2. Create a new project

3. Upload a CAD file to that project

4. Restart Fusion 360 and retest the data panel

I hope this helps. Thanks for the updates. Please let me know if you have any questions.

So I uninstalled Bitdefender and tried, didn't change a thing
I deactivated windows defender , didn't change a thing

I uploaded a CAD to myhub and now everything works fine ( for now ) , even the poor performance is gone.

Reactivated Windows defender and still works fine

Do you have any idea why ? Just curious

Anyway, thank you for your help, I'll test it for some hours and give a final feedback

I have a theory that you archived or removed the default project that was created and there were no other projects in the hub. I'd have to do some testing to confirm (just a theory at the moment). Seems like an issue, if this is the case.

I am happy that that solution worked! Total guess on my part (even a broken clock is right twice a day). 🙂

One last tip on the performance side of things, there is a quick way to optimize the effects for performance. See the below link for more information.
