Cloud posts list not updating up in Post Processor dialog box

When I open the post processor dialog box (Windows 10 PC). I select <My Cloud Posts>, but it's not showing me the correct list of posts.  It looks like an older list that's not getting refreshed.  Below is a screenshot of my Cloud Assets, and the Post Processor dialog box showing the cloud posts.  They don't match.

Hi @SGoldthwaite

Thanks for posting. This usually occurs when a different hub or account is being accessed in the browser than the desktop client.

If you sign out of the desktop application and the web browser and then are sure to sign back in using the same email address, do the posts show the same?

If the browser and desktop application posts still do not appear to match, it is possible you are accessing a different hub. Different hubs are accessed by clicking your name in the desktop app or your initials/image in the web browser:

I hope this helps! Please let me know if problems continue. If so, I'd like to see screenshots of:

  • what hubs are being accessed in both the browser and in the desktop application
  • what posts are shown in the Assets > CAMPosts folder in your data panel in the desktop app

I know there's two areas for posts processors, my original personal area and the team area. The drop down list in my post processor didn't match either. Just to avoid confusion in the future, I deleted all the posts in my non-team area. So I'm just using team - but the "team" is just me. When I opened Fusion a few minutes ago and checked the posts, they did match what I had in the cloud, so I guess it finally synced up. As a test I deleted one of the posts in the cloud to see if that change would show up in the fusion dialog box - the deleted post did show up in the dialog box. So it's out of sync again. I closed and re-opened Fusion, but that didn't help. I waited about 10 minutes and checked again, still out of sync. This seems to be a Windows only issue. On my Mac it syncs up to the cloud right away.

See screenshots. Highlighted post in dialog box is the one I deleted from the cloud.

Thanks @SGoldthwaite .

I found the same behavior - on my Windows machine, deleted posts were shown in the drop down list but not in the data panel. On my Mac, everything was shown properly.

Good catch - I've logged this one as CAM-17993 with the team.

Full disclosure - I'm still seeing posts I've permanently deleted in the drop down and do not have a workaround for this at the time. I'll keep you posted if I find any tricks.

Ok. I'm glad you're able to reproduce it.

Thanks @SGoldthwaite

I'm curious if you see this behavior every time a post is deleted. I have reproduced but it has been sporadic. Some posts I delete continue to be shown in the list, but some are removed immediately. Is this your experience, or is behavior consistent on your end?

EDIT: The dev team did help me find a trick to get the stuck posts removed. You can manually go to the local cache folder in Windows explorer and remove them. The filepath will be:

  • C:\Users\<WINDOWS USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<ALPHANUMERIC ID>\W.login\M\<ANOTHER ALPHANUMERIC/TIMESTAMP ID>\CAMPosts

You may have a few <ANOTHER ALPHANUMERIC/TIMESTAMP ID> folders and can find the correct one by accessing the folder through the Post Process dialog by clicking the ...icon next to where it says "My Cloud Posts".

Accessing the folder through Fusion will not show any of the posts that should be listed there (I can't explain this and have asked the team), but copy and pasting the filepath from that window into a new Windows Explorer window will show the posts stuck in the local cache.

I don't change my posts very often.  I just checked and a post I deleted from the cloud yesterday is still showing up in the dialog box.  As a test I added a new post to the cloud and it showed up right away in the dialog box.  Then I deleted it from the cloud, but it still shows up in the dialog box.

I'll try the tip about deleting from the cache.
