Change to Export.

Why have you changed the way export works when you right click a component from the browser. In the past you got the standard windows export dialog, now you get the useless Fusion export dialog that doesn't show the folder contents so you need a eidetic memory and known every file in every directory on your computer. It was bad enough when you changed the Export option on the file menu but at least you had the option of using the export from the browser that still used the standard windows Save As dialog, please BRING THIS BACK.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for posting about the issue. Personally I'm not sure why that has been changed right now but I have logged this with the development as FUS-36273 and they will review this shortly.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

@masa.minohara Hi Thanks for looking at this. Something to note, Save Copy As and Export are now doing the same thing! In the past I think Save Copy As could be used to save to the cloud and Export saved to your computer using the standard windows save dialog.

Also i thought that the change to the Export dialog in the past was to allow saving STP, SAT, etc. files to the cloud. I just tried and this doesn't work, you can save a copy as a Fusion design but it doesn't work if you try saving a STP file to the cloud. Personally I couldn't see a use for this but I was told the export dialog was changed to allow saving non Fusion files directly to the cloud.

Here's an old post from when the Export dialog was changed for the worst originally.

I noticed this has been looked at and got a fix. Now when you select the folder icon you get the Save As dialog rather then just the pick folder dialog. Once you're through to the Save As dialog you can change the file type and see all files in the directory give you the old functionally back, an extra click but that's OK.
