Scaleable Gradient Templates For Linear and Angular Measure

Scaleable Gradient Templates For Linear and Angular Measure

I'll add scalable gradients to my wish list for future Fusion releases. They are needed an awful lot. With 3D printers, makers are going to town printing all those missing knobs from their antique collectibles, as but one example. I'm making a rotating disk for antennas and telescopes that I need marked for 0 to 360 degrees as it rotates. DavebYYPCU on the Forums has shown me a work around but I'm sure he'd agree, it is quite a bit of work. If you really want to impress, having a means to etch variable sized notches for us 3D printers would be all the more awesome !! Yes indeed, I think you'd get a lot of WOW factor out of that tool !!

Took me a minute to understand what you were describing then it hit me and the possibilities seemed really cool. Yes, this can be done by other means, but I think it would be really cool having a dedicated tool that would make these graduated scales in multiple ways. I could actually see it being a pretty flexible tool, scale on flat surfaces, wrap around cylinders, add numbers, emboss hashes versus cut them in, variable lengths (like a ruler), etc. Definitely seems like it would be pretty useful.
