View Sketch in view mode without saving a version

It would be nice if I could view a sketch completly with all its measures without editing ist. So I could avoid saving a new version.

For example:

Just view a Sketch:

I have to know the measures so I have to edit it:

It would be nice if I could open a sketch in view mode without saving a new version and updating the assembly.

I may have misunderstood but if you right click a sketch there's and option to Show\Hide dimensions, does that do what you're after?
