User parameters in the component property

I'd love if you were be able to use a user parameter in the description for a model.

for example if have a model where i can input a length "L".   it'd be nice if i could have "L" in the part description so that it shows up in the parts list as "2x4 - 18in"  for example.

Or...   Component name =  Roll, (Rolldia) dia.,Face = (Facelen)

SO if I ever change the parameter, the mane chnages'

Ex: Roll, 6" dia., Face = 125" then if I change the length of the face Roll, 6" dia., Face = 100"

I use a lot of linked components and so a save as if I have for example a lot of rolls..

Comp name with parameters is way cool..
