Timeline

Timeline

Is possible to turn off - disable timeline for some operations? A lots of times there is the necessity to modify a component with the complete visibility (in real time) of the other components in the "last state", so, if I have to modify something located in the beginning of timeline and, in the same time, to be able to see other components - bodies at the end of the timeline, is only possible if I disable the timeline....with catastrofic results.

Is possible grow the software in this "direction"?

Would that not destroy the timeline anyway?

There is currently a neat inbetween solution: the base feature. You can use this to create a feature that  will not be part of the timeline. After finishing the base feature you could use it to join, cut or intersect with the body that you wanted to change (using Modify>Combine).

To be honest i don't really have experience with this method but it might be worth looking at.
