Texture Map Control randomizing feature

I have a model made from many identical wooden parts, when I apply a texture to them it all becomes identical looking, very fake looking. I have to manually use the texture map control and rotate some 180 degrees or move them randomly up and down or sideways to create a natural appearance. It would be nice if this could be automated as it's very time consuming.

 

I think it's very relevant to most wooden modeling applications as wooden furniture and objects are often laminated and/or made of similar, repeating parts. There needs to be some randomness to the texture to simulate the natural variations in wood.
