When converting a t-spline to a solid, option to sub-sample the curvature into tessellated flat surfaces. The degree of curve fitting would be adjustable, and there would be an option for voronoi or delaunay tessellation. Lots of cool designs are using polygonal geometry these days and most CAD environments are focused on smooth surfaces or constructive solid geometry.
Furthermore, flat planes sometimes need to be tessellated (like mosaics) and tessellation options would come handy. I can definitely see myself doing designs that use penrose tessellation.
Let's not forget the "Design" part of CAD. We're not just doing mechanical parts with this.
