Sweep with a solid body.

Sweep with a solid body.

Hi, one feature i think would be a great asset would be the possibility to sweep a solid body and use it as a cutter like when you're milling with pencil command and such.

Lots of times when designing a surface or so you want to see what kind of tool would give what kind of corner to decide surrounding geometry.

I added a screencast to show what i'm after, this is a cam simulation but it shows what i'm looking for.

Way agreed

Talked w/ AD about this a couple years back and it'd still be insanely awesome to be able to define geometries by the volume swept by a part or parts with linkages (though that could get very hard / slow very fast if it were done the wrong way)

Would be great to have a moving part then a pocket that it just perfectly fits into (plus some small gap / offset)

It'd be great to have the ability to sweep a solid body along a path [possibly with guide rails] to carve parts

This is one of those things you might not use very often.  But when you do need it you REALLY need it.

It is simply a must! Unfortunatly i have to use NX 11 to model those shapes.

Really need it!!

Gotta have this!!  VERY difficult to achieve what I need without this feature.  and don't limit it to convex bodies like SolidWorks does.  I design cutting tools for machining and we deal with many different shapes

Seconded. This is an awesome feature, and would work especially well with the CAM workspace in Fusion!

I believe it will find wonderful use cases once people realize its potential when combined with 3D-printing, multiaxis milling or other freeform shaping methods.

Implementing this would make Fusion 360 truly at the forefront of CAD/CAM programmes!

I just started switching over from Solidworks and just found out while designing a part that this isn't a feature like it is in Solidworks.  Huge bummer.  I saw that this feature was implemented in Inventor, when will we see it in Fusion360?
