Please stop adding Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts when the software is updated. I have the shortcuts organized away where I want them, and the original install created them. Stop adding new ones with each software updated.
This app has worn me down when it comes to this. I use to add a link in the task bar and with updates it wold stop working (appeared to be pointing to a previous launcher). Then when they resolved that, I would lose the icon on updates. Finally I just switched to using the icon on my desktop, as much as I hate desktop icons.
I am on a Mac and I really love if you would stop pinning Fusion to my dock evertime I open it. I do not like it crouding up my screen and making me think it is still open for the few times I use it. It is obtrsive and frankly rude to users to force this on them everytime.
@sdthamburg We don't add or change shortcuts on windows anymore. Do you still see this behavior in recent updates?
@Anonymous This is a side effect of the streaming installer we use on mac. We will not be able to change this in the short term. I can suggest an alternative, you can install Fusion from Mac App Store and it will install to applications folder and not touch the dock.
This is still an issue on windows 10 as of 2/3/2017. Occasionally when I launch Autodesk Fusion 360 it will pin an icon to my desktop. Very annoying! It does not happen every time I launch the software, which is weird. I have yet to pinpoint the cause.
And desktop shortcuts still get added after each and every update... This is really annoying! Those that want them, are well capable of creating them manually. Would be nice if this feature was removed...
This behaviour is indeed annoying. Fusion 360 is an astounding application, but the fact that this issue is now 2 years old diminishes its overall reputation.
