Specify material, show corresponding tool libraries.

When I am designing a part to be machined, I would find it helpful and a lot quicker if when I had to search for a tool, I didn't have to keep reselecting the correct tool library to get the proper speeds and feeds.

If you guys made an area where we could specify the material as we design the part, it would be cool.

Thanks

John

You certainly can specify the material (Physical Material command) but it doesn't automatically select the tool library as far as I know.

Yeah, that's not what I meant. I don't want to have all the libraries for all the other material pop up if I am cutting plastic. It would be a nice touch.

How about tying in the Physical Material property to tools in the library? Auto selection of suitable feeds & speeds.

Might work well with tool profiles, which may or may not be being worked on.
