Maybe I missed it somewhere but is there a slot drilling function that would pre-drill the entire slot length in the Manufacturing work space? You could put points along the slot length in the sketch and then pre-drill by drilling points but it would be more convenient if you could have a function that takes the slot length and the tool diameter and pre-sets drill points along the entire slot length to clear. You would have to consider drill diameter overlap. Maybe clearing a slot with a drill bit is not the most efficient. With my smaller milling machine slotting with an end mill is really tough on the bit. There is a lot of surface contact area. It's much better to pre-drill along the slot length and then clean up with an end mill.
