Sketch: Partial Connected Lines Offset

Sketch: Partial Connected Lines Offset

Right now Fusion only allows to offset a closed loop, if I want to offset partially, I will have to do it manually.

No pictures yet (will get it up in 24h time) but imagine this, let say I draw a box and offset it, all is fine, but if I want to offset only the 2 sides of the box, selecting both lines and triggering the offset command will only offset 1 line and not the 2 selected lines. Also there's no way to multi select the lines ones you're in the offset tool. You can either offset single lines manually or if it's in a closed loop.

very true the offset command should work with more than one line/curve selected.

I should be able to select n amount of joined/connected lines/curves and then offset them at once together.

Not quite on topic but one thing that annoys me with offsets is that they fail quite often.

The offset of a curve should be the locus of points distance d from the curve and that's perfectly well defined in lots of cases where the offset tool just won't work.

What should happen instead is essentially taking a circle centered at each point on the path, running it around, and carving out an area / leaving the remainder. That'll have side-effects like changing the topology but it seems much more sensible to me than just breaking

Currently, offset works like this:

If I want to offset the selected 2 lines for example, I can't because....

this is what Fusion will do instead, and noticed that there's an option called sketch curves: 1 selected but you can't select more then 1 line.

This is how the offset of 2 lines should look like
