Selection set - visibility toggle

Selection set - visibility toggle

I create a selection set of components and joints etc. Then I what to show/hide these items contained in the selections set. But I can't find a way. Why can't I right click in the selection set, then choose show/hide for all items contained in the set? I can do this in SolidWorks and SolidEdge, Cleo etc.

I want to say that I'm very impressed with F360 so far, and I understand it's a development product. I hope these idea submissions help in the growth of the F360 features. Cheers.

After using the selection set to make the selection press v to show\hide or right click the screen and pick Show\Hide from the menu.

Edit, just noticed you can right click the selection icon on the selection set and pick Show\Hide from there.

While this can be done as @HughesTooling has shown, I see no reason there could not be a light bulb as a visibility-toggle for the selection set. That I believe is what most users use selection sets for and it would curt down not eh number of clicks and is certainly more intuitive and discoverable.

Yes, as TrippyLighting suggests, please add the light bulb to selection sets. Thanks! (Loving F360 generally!)

I have tried the steps above and agree with TrippyLighting and dave3PGN8  it would be easier if one could create a selection set, name it and then be able to control the visibility of the selection set by right clicking it to get 'show / hide'.

Hi, i've been trying to do this but the only two options i'm given once i have selected items and I right-click are 'create-selection set' and 'extrude'.

I'd love to see the ability to have selection sets "Hidden" or "Visable" by clicking an icon in the same place as the "Select" & "Update" icons are. On large machine assemby drawings I have a lot of components in selection sets and to quickly hide or view them would be great  🙂
