Sometimes I use the same tool for roughing and finishing work depending on the part situation. This could be milling or turning.
However you cannot restart on the finishing tool, the tool start code in not available for the finishing pass because all the tool info is compiled when the roughing cycle was posted and appeneded to the end, therefore you can't restart just the finish path in this situation.
I'd like to see a tick box in cam that says "include full setup code for this tool"
This could also contain the rapid back to safe position and an M1 code so the part could be checked. Very similar as if two separate tools were being used.
