Restore the threaddata folder

Restore the threaddata folder

Trapezoidal threads are created with the wrong angle (currently 60° but should be 30°) which makes them unusable in real life. Before the latest update it was possible to change this in the threaddata folder and also create custom threads that aren't available (even multistart threads could be made with a copy and rotation) but since the latest update this folder has disappeared along with the custom threads I had made. It would be great if this could be restored to allow customising or even better allow custom threads to be input directly in fusion rather than having to edit the xml files.

The thread data folder moves with every update, your old xml files will still be in the old location. In the path below if you go to the Production folder and sort the folder by date so newest is at the top the second folder will be the last version and you should be able to find you files/

%localappdata%\Autodesk\webdeploy\Production\<version ID>\Fusion\Server\Fusion\Configuration\ThreadData

Also this page might help

I spent so long looking I was convinced it had been removed/changed but I must have missed it, I've been able to find it after previous updates but not this time and nor could windows search. I'll try again later when I get home, sorry if I've just been an idiot and wasted your time. Thanks.

That's OK it took me a while to find it as well, I think it because the path has Fusion\Sever\Fusion makes it hard to read.

With respect, forget about the **** XML file and give us a cloud backup UI for doing it ourselves within Fusion 360.

This is insane to have to do repeatedly, merge with new Autodesk provided bits, and the hunting for it.

I've recently encountered the same problem after creating custom threads.  A few days later I see my custom .xml is gone.  I have to search through the %localappdata%\Autodesk\webdeploy\Production\<version ID> to find out a new version ID has been created. I have to go to the old version ID and copy my custom files to the new one (hopefully right one). It's really hard to determine which is the right one (fingers crossed that the one with the most recent date is correct). There are numerous version IDs and it seems every time a new one is created it's duplicating a large number of folders/files. Can custom configurations be stored in a location that isn't changing with every update? Also, what's the best way to cleanup all the old files safely since they just take up additional space?
