Rendering

My GPU is sitting at idle while I am rendering something, but my CPU is at 100%. Support for video cards would be amazingly better.

A worthy improvement indeed.

Considering that AMD Stream Processors and Cuda Cores are so massively available nowadays. 

My 4 Core CPU Runs at about 2GHrz. It takes about 24hrs to finish a single production Render.

The 1024 Cuda Cores on my GPU run only at about half as fast as my CPU cores.

(The Bottom line)

Could this mean that we could get production quality renders in minutes?

@Anonymous Yes indeed.

In this context, OpenCL runs on both platforms and would result in massive improvements on both fronts, even without more optimization.
