This is a supplement to "lindsay.fowler"s excellent "Improvements to Auto-Save or Recovery Files" feedbacks
Every time I open a design, it asks me "A backup recovery file exists for the file you are trying to open. Do you want to open the recovery file instead?" which is all good and well, and occasionally helpful - but in my case the answer is always No.
But, it keeps asking and asking about that same file. Often it's months old and I've made dozens of new versions of the file since, so clearly I've moved on, but nonetheless it always asks about that file. Minor annoyance to be sure, but clearly it's annoyed me enough to go through the trouble of typing this out haha!
(Yes, I know you can go File > Recover Documents > choose file > delete but that's not quite ideal either and evidently I typically choose to continue living with the popup than go do that each time it happens. Maybe I'm the only one)
Solution: A checkbox on that dialogue box along the lines of: "Don't remind me again for this particular backup recovery file"
Hope that's clear and you find it constructive 🙂 cheers
