Under the impression of https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/4022344.aspx , I cannot believe that I have just bought a CAE machine running under Windows after not using this crappy OS for more then 10 years now.

Please support Ubuntu Linux 16.04 LTS or the upcoming 18.04 LTS. The port from MacOS (BSD) to Linux (Ubuntu and/or Debian and/or Mint) should not be a stretch. If this is not in the plans, please provide better support for running under Windows under VirtualBox.

FYI, Autodesk stated here  (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-ideastation-request-a/linux/idi-p/4530727) and there (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-ideastation-request-a/build-fusion-for-ubuntu/idi-p/658154...) that they are focusing on realising a browser version.
Technically that would work on any OS.

Nevertheless, it would be nice to see a native version for Linux!

I am fully aware of the browser version and like it for a quick review or discussion of a model. However I cannot really imagine how e.g. any serious CAM work could really be done in the browser ever.
