Parameter Management

Parameter Management

Please add the capability to change / view parameters while in sketch edit mode.  I am using the new UI and the 'Sigma" shortcut on my toolbar has gone, so can't view my parameter list box.  If I can't remember the parameter name to type in a dimension box, I am stuck at that point.  If I pick the Solid tab, the Sigma is back.

Hope you can add this functionality while in 'sketch' mode.

Thanks.

Press the S key and start typing Change, you could add it to the search toolbar for fast access. You can also set a hotkey from the menu(not the top toolbar) while in the madel workspace.

Mark, thanks for the reply.  I do use the S key sometimes and that was a
great suggestion.

Still hope autodesk will work on this.

Good idea. Just include the Sigma function on the Sketch menu also. Not sure why this isn't already done ?!?!

You can assign a shortcut to the parameter list option and it will work inside a sketch even if you can't see the option in the menu.

The latest update to F360 has now included the ability to have a shortcut key on the toolbar for Parameters while in the solid sketch environment.   Great job F360 team. 🙂

For that matter:

  • anything that creates a parameter should provide the facility to edit the parameter name and formula
  • anything that uses parameter(s) should provide the facility to edit the parameter name(s) and formula(e) on a right click. E.g.: the dimension text, the extent of an extrude, etc.
  • Parameters should be component.parameter, not all parameters thrown in the design. E.g., parameter named
"abc" in more than one components (only once in a component, of course,) in one design should be possible.
