Parameter list

Parameter list

Hello everybody,

There have been a number of requests related to parameters but none have addressed this very simple UI issue.

Currently if you want to use a parameter in an input dialog box you need to remember the name of the parameter.

This is fine if you can remember parameter names, but if you can't there should be a simple way to have a list of the parameters displayed so that the user can choose from the list and have the value entered into the input box.

This a feature that has been implemented in Inventor for a very long time. It should be a simple programming tweak given that once the first letter of a parameter is entered into a Fusion input box a list of parameters is displayed.

How does this NOT have a million votes?  Change the parameter dialog so it isn't modal.  Please.

Alternatively the search could just be fuzzy rather than alphabetic.

After I posted my original suggestion I discovered by accident that the list
of user parameters will appear by typing any character into the dimension
input box.

However, the real issue is that you have to use the keyboard to do so. I use
a mouse in my right hand and a 3dconnexion space mouse in my left hand; it
would be more efficient to be able to use the mouse to access the user
parameter list by clicking on a button in the Fusion360 interface. Having to
use the keyboard interferes with my workflow.

Seconded. I'd like to be able to see the entire parameter dialog while I'm drawing, that is much more informative than just seeing the names.

Agree that it would be nice to have the entire list always visible - the parameters window disappears when you click outside of it.  It would be nice if it could be docked on the side or bottom, or dragged onto a second monitor and stay there.
