This is great software and online provides great collaborative options and power. I understand "Online only" is the current model to force all to use this new powerful technology.
We are a research start-up with few dollars and your offering a free promo is incredible as we need to take our designs to manufactures that want to produce them and they are happy to pay reasonable subscription cost. This is also great for low volume contract engineers working at home that can take it to companies that are customers and can pay. This makes a great model.
The problem so many have that want to work online with all its virtues is on many designs, is that many manufacturing companies that pay for the subscription presently have contractual obligation to keep the designs offline for NDA restrictions to protect IP. With current intentional CAD file incompatibility an issue, they exclusively use specific offline commercial CAD versions for their security. This renders the online file versions almost useless, except to share a Step file without specs and basically redraw every Cad file.
No one is offering the Offline only on specific designs option for subscription based online CAD. This would tremendously increase your commercial customer base and solve so many problems for the Startups with IP issues, and individual that need to transfer designs to offline use and can't afford the full priced offline CAD software. Please consider making it possible to make specific designs Offline only going forward (Perhaps a limited number per month.. Assemblies and key components) to solve this real problem and allow more to use your great online software. Thanks, Kerry
