I wish Fusion 360 had a box to check or uncheck that would have the programmer decide if he wants to use dedicated tool libraries.
Or use a NON dedicated tool library.
If selecting to use a non dedicated tool library the first TAB in Cam is Tool.
I would like to control tool# and height offset # and Diameter offset # and Tool Extension length all on the first tab.
I would like it if while programming each tool, it defaulted as the first tool is already T1 and as I program it auto generates the next tool as T2 and so forth. And if I decide to drop and drag operations in different orders it auto updates and numbers tools .
I see the need for dedicated tool libraries for some shops.
Because our shop does not use dedicated tools for our jobs.
We set up our jobs and tear them down when done.
We believe in sequentially numbered tool list. It saves time and is less confusing.
We believe in keeping collets and holders and their mating surfaces cleaned after a job is run. Helps keep our tools and holders from rusting and pitting and tools running true.
