Move on path

I suggest to add new option in MOVE operation. It shoul be like move on path. It will help to save time. It will allow to move any body along the path and set the value of movement.

If i want to move body along the path i need to set two values. It is not easy.If i want to move body along the path i need to set two values. It is not easy.I need to use the rectangular pattern.I need to use the rectangular pattern.

So the algoritm i described looks like rectangular pattern, but without deleting main (first) body.

I mean curved path.

Since your comment mentions it's about curved path but the picture shows (implicitly) a straight one, I find this a bit confusing.

If you need movement along a custom axis, the Move dialog offers that. (can chat how to do it, if needed..)

If you mean on a curved path then yes, Move dialog doesn't have it. I think you are suggesting adding a new Move type (in the dialog) for this, or something else (ie. how would the UI be)? This is important to me, because at this point we're supposed to vote up this feature, but I need to understand the clutter it would bring - not just that something would be "possible".

The way I would do what you mention, currently, would be to pick a point on the curve and use point-to-point move to get the object there. Then adjust the angles for tangentiality. But that is likely elaborate.

What you could do is to change the first picture to have a curved path? 🙂
