mouse shortcuts for Rotation

mouse shortcuts for Rotation

I have just started using Fusion 360 and here's what i think of the controls. While zoom and pan controls are readily available from the mouse, to rotate i have to press shift key every time. While it is not a deal-breaker, i find it redundant to have to press an extra key every time. It would be great to have a shortcut for rotation in mouse as well; like double clicking middle button or double  right click; some shortcut which can be accessed by single hand making the controls seamless and more efficient. Also, needless to say it would be much more convenient to have custom mapping of keyboard keys for shortcuts.

I hope this suggestion excites you and gets accepted.

If you go into preferences there's an option to set the mouse up the same a Solidworks that gives you zoom on the mouse wheel and rotate by holding the mouse wheel down.

Yes, but then how do I use the Pan shortcut if I assign middle button to
rotate?

I'm with you on this. I am getting so frustrated with fusion that I cant use it anymore. I really want to but because its setup so different to everything else it is way too frustration for me to use anymore.

Agreed.  Middle button should zoom/rotate as it does now.  Right button should pan (like solidworks) instead of the gestures that I don't care about.  I've tried the "No Gestures" plugin, which fixes this problem, but makes it so I can't use the right mouse button in other places (like to select diameter dimension) which is a major issue.

My recommendation is to enable a setting to replace gesture with pan.  Would fix the issue.
