By its nature, explicit simulations tend to be a bit noisy. If one only monitors the data output at the animation frames, it's difficult to discern the signal from the noise. It would be beneficial if the Event Simulation could output a measurement (distance, force, moment, stress, strain, etc.) that's captured at every time increment (this is called history output data in Abaqus).
