It's common, when meshing assemblies with multiple components, to have a mesh overclosure (intersecting meshes). I've found that for simulations with sliding or separating contact definitions, when overclosure occurs, the contact definition gets ignored. I'm proposing a feature addition to the contact definition:
- Automatic adjustment of mesh overclosure
This feature will detect initial overclosures and will adjust them if they fall within a specified threshold.
