McMaster-Carr Component Motion

McMaster-Carr Component Motion

I think it will be really good if we can easily import and animate the motions of the component easily. For example, if i import a spring from McMaster-Carr, I would like to be able to have that spring stretched and compressed when joining to my model. I am not sure it is already implemented, but it might be a good idea.

That would be neat, but the import from McMaster Carr is a static file, they don't provide the additional info that would be required for such a automatically dynamic part.

You can't model a spring properly in Fusion360 or any other program at this time. Maybe in a few years the servers will be powerful enough to calculate the math required to provide accurate spring rates and motion.

Hey guys, just seen this thread about spring motion but I was wondering about bearing motion. I have imported a flange bearing for a head pulley assembly. when i try to join the flange bearing to the pulley hub it wants to only join a part of the bearing. and I can not select the whole bearing part. my question is do i need to join the bearing together where it has motion then join that to my hub? And if this is what i need to do then how exactly would you go about it
