Indication of threads in drawings - metric

Indication of threads in drawings - metric

In the past I realized that the indication of metric threads in drawings is a bit strange.

If I put a measure on the 3/4 circle of the thread I expect to get the measurement of the created thread.

Which means for M4 = 4; M6 = 6; M12 = 12mm...

So I have to put only the M before the number. And if I change the thread to another diameter the drawing will update automatically.

Fusion does not show 4 for a M4 thread. It shows 4.11 and for M6 it shows 6.15...

Which means I have to overwrite the automatic generated measure.

That is not the best.

Could you adjust the diameter of the 3/4 circle to the correct diameter?

See attached pictures.

I believe this is already in the works. From the drawing team road map mural....

Hole and thread notes is listed as "On deck".  Hopefully this will be a nice dimensioning tool that will work similar to what other CAD packages do.  Click the dashed line around a threaded hole and it automatically calls out thread information, i.e. M6 THRU, 1/4-20 UNC-2B .375 Deep, etc.  Maybe additional information like drill size, pitch diameter, standard chamfers, etc. could also be options to include in the thread call out.
