Implementing of butt/mig/tig welding possible?

Hello everyone, just an idea here.

Can butt welding (or any other kind of welding) be implemented in Fusion 360? I'm designing some pipes and flanges that should be presented as welded and found out that it couldn't be made. It would also help to have it for simulation purposes but at least for rendering. Can it be done? What I'm designing (in real life) looks like the following:

When I asked in the Fusion 360 forum, found out that I'm not alone on this. Maybe it helps more people?

Thanks in advance!

A one button click would be nice, but in the meantime you can mock it up with a sketch and a revolve command. I did a quick example here:

This solution would also work for simulation as you'd create a rigid joint between the weld body and each of the joining bodies.

Thanks ADAPTShop.

Yes, that's a practical solution but IMHO mostly for rendering. As you said, it would create a rigid joint between the bodies BUT, without the material specifications and strengths from a real weld and the last thing you want is something breaking up in real life test while it was OK in the simulation, specially when the welds have to be calculated using standards.

when will  this be available?

Butt Welding is a commonly used technique in welding that can either be automated or done by hand on steel pieces. Butt welding can also be done with Brazing for copper pieces. It is used to attach two pieces of metal together such as pipe, the framework in factories, and also flanges.
