Fusion NEEDS to update the existing app and not create duplicates.

Fusion NEEDS to update the existing app and not create duplicates.

Fusion seems to do an update every few days, or at least once a week. Which is AWESOME and brilliant and amazing. What's not amazing is the fact that every time there is a new update and I open Fusion from my app-dock, it fully loads the app and then offers an indication that an update is available.

This then requires me to close Fusion, go hunting for the Fusion folder (which is NOT in applications) to find the NEW version, and then replace the alias in my doc.

Would be MUCH better to have Fusion check for updates at launch, and if one exists... update the software BEFORE launching. Give me a quick message saying, "updating".

Seems like this would be the obvious solution,

Just my 2 cents,

Is this on Windows or macOS ?

In the  three years I have used Fusion 360 I have NEVER replaced the icon in the doc. Neither on my older iMac, nor on the new MacBook Pro.

This is on Mac… and the updates don’t automatically update the linked app.

Here a screenshot… the 2 folders which reside in this location are for the old version and the updated version, and that ALIAS is linked to the old version folder - which I have to manually relink.

Are you using the App Store version, or the Download from the Autodesk Website ?

Had the same problem with the downloaded version. The app store works (now I much check to see if they have one for Eagle..)
