Fusion 360 is my go to, however, I feel a suite of pre-configured items in the realm of continuous movement elements such as cable, rope, and springs are both necessary and extremely valuable for a program that has such a large number of people using it for purposes of visualizing the movement of mechanisms. I am familiar with techniques for creating a working spring, which does seem less than efficient. overall, I am suggesting these features to be "pre-configured" in the same way a rectangle or circle is.
