Full CAD and Design on Mobile App

Full CAD and Design on Mobile App

Hey Everyone,

My idea is to have Full Fusion 360 available on ARM-based processors and mobile devices, especially for concepts and products such as Samsung DeX. AS smartphones get more and more powerful, and more akin to pocket computers, It's important to be able to integrate Fusion and other CAD software on the devices that the next generation uses most often. By having a substantial mobile app capable of the full design process, rather than simply a viewer, it would allow makers of all sorts to be able to get into professional level programs, simply by downloading the app (with a license). A touch-based UI would have to be made, but I am excited to see what you guys think.

Best Regards,

Cole

While it would be awesome I do not think it is going to happen any time soon.

Some time ago I got the web version of Fusion working on my iPad by using a special browser (iCab) that pretended to be a desktop browser. I asked them to remove the "Desktop Browser only" restriction but I am not sure if they ever did.

With this you have at least most of the Model workspace and It worked with only minor flaws. (Shading didn't look right if I remember correctly)

Agreed

Or at least a Linux version as Chrome Os and some Android devices can run Linux apps and as for the power of Ipad Pros soon to be running on IPad OS.

(The web version of Fuson 360 only supports some basic modelling and has been in preview for a long time so I guess it is not going to be developed any further.)

You have my vote

Rich
