Force G2/G3 in Cam under the "passes" tab

Force G2/G3 in Cam under the "passes" tab

There should be a way to make Fusion's post processor output a G2/G3 on arcs rather than many small line segments. I have a 1993 Fadal VMC 4020 and the control has a hard time processing the small line segments. The smoothing function works most of the time but not always. I would like to see a check box under the passes tab (perhaps right underneath the smoothing check box) that reads "Force G2/G3."

Amen! I have another CAM package (VisualMill) that allows me the toggle arc vs segment output at the post processor level. Very handy. Truth be told, most of us would generally prefer arcs over segments. Smoothing is too inconsistent and/or finicky.  Arcs produce smaller, easier to read g-code. Most controls can interpolate the arc smoother than the bazillion segments. I would like to see it as an option when post processing.

While we are on the topic, it would be great to be able to use my canned helical function when ramping to matereral. Again, a line or two verses hundreds per plunge.

I could be wrong but I believe this is determined by your post and the tolerances you've specified in your operations.

Add smoothing to the operation like as example 0.002mm or 0.02mm

The code is a lot smaller and have G2/G3
