Folders in browser tab

Folders in browser tab

Hello,

When having a lot of components, sometimes it becomes hard to keep track of all the components. If there is a "folder" option to put all the similar components together. For example: group all the bolts and nuts together.

I know there is the create group in the right click list, but it is not working for me.

Regards.

If you have a bit of an idea\plan when you start a design, make a component called fasteners then activate it and create new components for your nuts, bolts etc. in that component. Here I have a top level component Movinghalf then sub components for the main parts then more subcomponents for fasteners.

It is a good idea.

But what if I have 6,7 or 8 moving parts and each have bolts and nuts, and I want them to travel with their corresponding component. I can still create 1 fastener component for each moving part, but then I will have a lot of fastener components around. It would be neat to be able to gather them all together in the browser tab.

How about the ability to drag a component from anywhere to anywhere else. Picture a component is the main tree and you would like it to be a sub-component of sometime. Or, to move a sub-component of something, to become a sub-component of something else. This would be very much like the folders idea and allow the tree to be collapsed to clean up the list.

Also, how about being able to right-click on the list and have a 'Collapse' selection?

Actually I found out that there is the option to drag a component from one component to the other. As for bodies, I am not sure if there is another way, but I activate the component that I want the body to be moved to, I select the body that I want to move, I press "CMD-C" (or "Ctrl-C" for windows users) then "CMD-V" (or "Ctrl-V") Fusion will create a new body in the component that is active and gives you the option to move it, just click "OK" when you have the body in the position that you want and from here you can hide/remove the original body.

This helps make things very clean for now.
