Editing Tabs

Editing Tabs

I really like to cut parts from sheet and plate material, and the best way to hold the part in there are tabs. Although it's easy to place tabs in contour operations, it's not very easy to edit them. Once they are placed, there's no way to delete single tabs, only all of them within the same operation. It's also only possible to move the tabs on the same segment of the contour, you can't move them around corners and such. That makes working with them quite painful sometimes, especially if you have multiple operations that have to have the exact same tab locations (e.g. cutting out and finishing).

I also don't get why the automatically generated tabs don't work with highly segmented contours. They only generate on segments that are long enough, instead of subdividing the whole contour.

Is there anything planned on these issues? I'd highly appreciate these features.

You can unselect a tab point by holding the Ctrl key down and clicking on the point. Fusions pretty much the same as lots of windows programs when it comes to the use of Ctrl and Shift.
