I agree. I would add phantom lines to the list as well.

to all my good friends and colleagues: please also try to COMMENT as that might catch Autodesk's attention a bit more and address this capability SOONER 🙂

I would add hatching to this...it would be nice to add hatch to boundaries within drawing views.

This is would my life as an teacher so much simpler. Currently my students use Fusion 360 to model their projects and part of their mark come from an external drawing standard. to achieve in this their are several lines that need to be shown on the drawing. Currently we have to export the drawings as a dwg and open them in Autocad to add these lines.  Which means I have to teach them how to operate in two CAD systems. I love the functionality of Fusion but this is one area where a small thing would make a huge difference. If you wish I can send you a pdf exemplar of what is required.

Come on FUSION TEAM!

What good are your 3D models if you cannot articulate your technical information to your customer. Everyone knows for example when creating Assembly drawings that along with your balloons calling out your assembly parts you also need to create a balloon with number with detail number in it when you are detailing out all of your components relative to your assembly.

Listen to the people on your forum. Look how many requests you have for drawing feature. You can make the best models in the world but you need the 2D tools to ilistrate them. Please Please update your drafting capability.........they are lacking big time!!!! If you don't, the new management of Onshape will eat your lunch for sure. You and Onshape own the cloud based systems............don't let them out get ahead of you. Look at their drawing tools.........they rock big time!! But their 3D solid capability lack.                So what are you going to do about it!!!!!!!

The most disappointing of this failure in Fusion 360 is Autodesk forcing you to open Autocad to finish your job!

This means to leave the cloud, go to your local network, finish your job in Autocad and then upload again the result to the cloud and so on...

Requests for improved drawings is a common theme, particularly for paying users.

I'm stuck with the Fusion 360 drawing workspace. Every time I touch the Fusion 360 drawing workspace, my performance drops to 5%.

Let's say:

With the 3rd party software (SW), I can release up to 3 prints per work shift to the fab-shop. Conversely, on Fusion 360 sometimes I have to spend almost 2 working shifts to release 1 print.

I still have to use 3rd party software (SW) to finish my job.

Definitely the cause of this problem is the lack of enough tools in Fusion 360 drawing workspace to handle 2d drawings.

Status changed to: Implemented

Hi @farzinaction - I wanted to give you a heads up that we've implemented basic sketch functionality in the Drawings workspace with the most recent Fusion 360 release. Read more on the What's New post here , and send over any feedback or questions on the new features or work in progress to Fusion.Drawings@autodesk.com
